Granite Club – Main Stair Renovation

The renovation of the Main Stair and Foyer was carried out in conjunction with the renovation of the Grand Ballroom at The Granite Club. This renovation involved the reconfiguration of the main entrance to the Ballroom as well the first renovation of the main stair since the building’s construction in 1972. The main stair serves as the principal vertical circulation element in the building linking all the main public spaces. The stair was completely rebuilt with new wood cladding, tempered glass guard rails and steel handrails. The completion of this renovation brought to a conclusion a many year long renovation program focussed on updating all the public areas of the building.
